This really applies to new and old webmasters alike but is addressed to newbies since most older wm's have heard it before.

When you apply for a link partner account with a TGP, be careful what you use for an id and password.

Here's why ...

While spot checking my little TGP this weekend, I ran across an account that was violating the rules. Being the nice guy I am, I emailed him a warning. He replied that the submissions in question were not his and he (claimed) to have no idea how they were made with his account. Well, I changed his account password and blacklisted the domain in question but made a note to warn you folks about the potential problem.

See, as best we can figure, his account was "hijacked" because he used the same id/pw for a number of TGPs he applied with. It would be a simple matter for anyone with access to that info on one TGP to find what other TGPs he linked to (via the recip links) and test his account info. When they find a match, they submit their galleries under the other guys account.

From a TGP owner's perspective, it doesn't matter WHO or HOW a bum gallery was submitted. It's YOUR account and YOU are responsible for anything submitted with it. So to protect yourself, don't use the same login info.
